Curiosity meets construction power – National Future Day at ERNE

Their curiosity was evident right from the start: attentive eyes, interesting questions, beaming faces and a palpable interest in the building process.
After a playful introduction, the children got straight to work. Under the guidance of our specialist staff, they built their own ‘Bhaltis’. They assembled formwork panels into a small box, sprayed it with paint and insulated it with silicone.
After a short drive to our construction site in Eiken, the children were immersed in the hustle and bustle of the site and were able to watch our staff at work. The kids were fascinated by the large machines and listened with interest.
Refreshed after their lunch break, everyone set off on a treasure hunt: from bricklaying and reinforcing to connecting sewer pipes – everywhere the children were allowed to get hands-on, try things out and celebrate their successes together.
Back in Laufenburg, the children finished their ‘Bhaltis’ by filling them with soil and potting a small poinsettia. At the end, they held their creations in their hands and were able to take them home with visible pride.
Future Day once again meant plenty of action, fun and valuable experiences.
