Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Digital construction

As digital pioneers, the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) is already standard practice for us on larger construction sites.

BIM allows us to digitally network the planning and execution of construction projects and enables everyone involved - from architects to tradespeople - to work together efficiently. Digital construction optimizes work preparation on the construction site and supports quality assurance during construction. This in turn has a positive impact on costs.

Our services BIM/VDC services

  • Development of BIM models

  • Evaluations of BIM models

  • Scheduling/process planning (4D)

  • Cost backing (5D)

  • Digital surveying incl. evaluation with drones, laser scanners, total station

  • Close cooperation with partners to create optimal solutions

Although the construction process itself is analog, digital construction offers numerous advantages: Thanks to a sound data basis, it enables cost certainty, adherence to deadlines and quality. The focus is on automation and the optimization of digital forms of work in order to simplify routine tasks and streamline processes. This leads to leaner processes, lower costs, greater transparency and more flexibility.

BIM is a digital method that facilitates the exchange of project information throughout the entire life cycle of a building, before, during and after construction. By using digital models, dimensions, volumes, building materials and other relevant information can be precisely viewed and managed. BIM also enables seamless collaboration between everyone involved in the project. They can communicate and process changes, comments and dependencies transparently in a networked model. The clear structure of this system minimizes sources of error and reduces delays. The process simulation for building construction projects can be controlled in real time.

Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) stands for the digital planning, construction and operation of buildings using integrated models. VDC combines digital models of buildings with modern organizational structures and efficient processes to optimize construction projects. This method requires not only digital expertise, but also process design skills and close collaboration between all parties involved. The aim is better coordination and therefore greater project success. This results, for example, in new forms of collaboration such as IPD, design-build or work groups.

In contrast to BIM, which focuses on the creation of digital building models, VDC goes further and integrates new technologies as well as organizational and procedural aspects. VDC provides a comprehensive virtual representation of the project, covering planning, construction and operation, and ensures that all relevant aspects - product, organization and process - are taken into account. In this way, we first plan and build projects digitally and then implement them.
