Building sustainably for the future
We combine quality, innovation and responsibility in all our projects. Through environmentally friendly construction practices, intelligent building technologies and the use of renewable energy, we create buildings and infrastructure that are functional, aesthetic and ecologically compatible. At the same time, we reduce our carbon footprint through climate-friendly mobility, reusable building materials and efficient machinery and production processes. Our goal is sustainable and energy-efficient infrastructure that we develop responsibly for people and the environment.
Innovative building materials for a climate-friendly future
As concrete accounts for over 70% of the building materials used, we are investing in low-CO₂ types of concrete and alternative materials such as CPC (Carbon Prestressed Concrete) slabs, which significantly reduce concrete consumption by saving on materials. The possibilities of CPC slabs were successfully implemented in the Grüze innovation laboratory together with the Winterthur Civil Engineering Office, Holcim Switzerland and the ZHAW. The prefabricated, extra-thin and reusable elements can be easily assembled, dismantled and reused elsewhere, thus taking another important step towards sustainable, future-proof construction.
Taking earth building further
Together with ERNE Holzbau AG, we are committed to expanding the possible uses of earth as a building material and reducing concrete consumption. A particularly sustainable variant is rammed earth: here, clay is compacted in layers and formed into load-bearing, deconstructable building elements - with positive effects on the material cycle and indoor climate, as the new building by ERNE Holzbau AG impressively demonstrates.
We also work with Oxara to improve the tensile and compressive strength of sprayed clay in a targeted manner with the help of various binding agents.
