Perfect weather for the ground-breaking ceremony for the triple sports hall in Sissach

Around 40 people applauded last Friday at the ground-breaking ceremony for the new triple sports hall at Dorf Primary School in the municipality of Sissach, represented by Mayor Peter Buser and Building Manager Marcel Meier.

The project by general contractor ERNEplus emerged as the winner of a comprehensive design competition, having impressed the jury with the building’s low environmental footprint and the conservation of land reserves.

The design by architects Penzel Valier AG envisages that a large part of the triple sports hall will be embedded in the ground, allowing for the creation of an all-weather pitch on the hall’s roof.

In May, our team will begin excavation work and securing the excavation pit, followed by the concreting of the floor slabs. The shell of the building is expected to be completed in April 2025.
