From a model to a modern commercial and residential building

The applications of the BIM methodology included:
The use of a unified data platform for optimised processes
Precise, model-based setting-out that provides a constantly updated view of construction progress
Efficient quantity take-off directly from the digital model
The approaches practised in the “Casa Cura” project have since been continuously refined and supplemented with additional methods. Whilst the digital revolution in the construction industry was still in its infancy elsewhere, ERNE had already completed its fifth BIM construction site by 2021. It is now routine for teams on construction sites to derive formwork, reinforcement, recesses, steel inserts and material orders directly from the BIM model.
Digital construction using BIM has become established at ERNE across all areas of the construction process. With the major ZWHATT project in Regensdorf, we are already implementing our 20th digital construction site. As pioneers in the field of BIM and digital construction, we are already looking forward to implementing five further digital construction projects in 2024, thereby shaping the future of the construction industry in a sustainable way together with our clients and partners.
We present a selection of our completed BIM projects, what BIM is and how we use it at ERNE in an engaging film at: Digital Construction
