New building for MEIER TOBLER Oensingen
March 03, 2023
NEW CONSTRUCTION OF SERVICE CENTER (DCO)
The building services company Meier Tobler built a new service center in Oberbuchsiten. The two previous sites in Nebikon (LU) and Däniken (SO) were merged in the "Halmacker" industrial estate. A progressive and ecological new building was constructed. On the one hand, it will be used for logistics, and on the other hand, spare parts storage for service technicians will also be available at the new site.

The groundbreaking ceremony
The ERNE building construction teams started work in October 2021. The official ground-breaking ceremony took place on 20 September 2021, when Roger Basler, CEO of Meier Tobler, welcomed around 30 invited guests to the ground-breaking ceremony for the new Oberbuchsiten Service Center (DCO). The building is 232 meters long, 62 meters wide and 24 meters high and has the volume of around 400 single-family homes. The new ecological building with state-of-the-art storage technology was constructed at a central location that is ideal for supplying goods throughout Switzerland. In addition to its practicality and aesthetics, the new building also offers employees and apprentices high-quality workplaces.

Climbing bracket CB 240 incl. tracking platform ¦ MAXIMO MX 18 330
Impressive high-bay warehouse walls were constructed in in-situ concrete for the new building. The concrete wall runs 7.40 m deep into the ground, rises 23 m above ground level and extends to a total length of a remarkable 143 m. With 4 climbing formworks per side, approx. 22 m long sections could be constructed. The formwork was constructed using wall formwork, which was moved with the aid of climbing and trailing platforms in a crane hoist. The climbing platform was planned specifically for the project. The optimized formwork height ensured an ergonomic working height during construction. This approach also massively increased work safety. Fast and optimized processes actively supported the construction progress. The high-bay warehouse was completed with an almost 8 m high concrete wall, which was constructed using #MAXIMO MX 18 330 elements.
Our SBM concrete plant was used on site to ensure that the extensive concreting work (floor slabs, concrete walls, floor slabs) could be carried out quickly. Five powerful cranes with a radius of up to 75 m and a lifting capacity of 3.4 t at the top managed the extensive construction site logistics.

Ceiling celebration at the Meier Tobler AG service center in Oberbuchsiten (DCO)
The ceiling celebration marked another important milestone in the construction of Meier Tobler AG 's new service center (DCO) in Oberbuchsiten. The fast-paced construction site impressed with its very rapid processes, which resulted in enormous, fast-paced work steps. The final floor slabs of the imposing, multi-storey industrial building (L: 232 x W: 62 x H: 24 m) were completed on schedule. For weeks, work was carried out in parallel on four construction sites and floor slabs, ceilings, parapets, stairwells, elevator shafts and supports were moved and installed up to the top floor. The ceiling celebration was a big thank you to the operational teams on site, who drove the construction progress forward every day with great personal commitment, dedication and enthusiasm. Together with those responsible at Meier Tobler AG, the general planner W+P Weber und Partner AG and the employees of ERNE AG Bauunternehmung, the event was celebrated in a fitting setting.
